Sacca Heavy Repairs is seeking an experienced Field Service Auto Electrician to join our team working across major mining operations throughout the Bowen Basin.

This role will see you working on some of the largest mining equipment in the industry, particularly large mining excavators from OEMs including CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi and Liebherr. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tradesperson looking to work with a highly capable team delivering shutdown support, repairs, relocations and major component work on heavy mining equipment.
Key responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair and maintain electrical systems on Liebherr, CAT and Hitachi excavators.
Carry out fault finding, wiring, testing and installations to OEM standards
Perform electrical diagnostics using modern tooling and diagnostic software
Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company procedures
Complete accurate service reports and digital inspections
Work collaboratively with the mechanical team to support repairs and rebuilds
Role requirements:
Demonstrate an understanding of diagnostics, problem solving and fault finding
Hardworking approach – reliable and able to work effectively when unsupervised
Operate within company QA standards and meet customer expectations
Work safely and efficiently within workshop systems and procedures
High standard of work quality at all times
Commitment to safety and teamwork
Able to supply clean D&A upon request
Must be an Australian resident
Applicants to provide:
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
Experience in rebuilds, overhauls, and major component change outs
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
Minimum 2 years post trade experience
Australian Qualified Auto Electrician Trade Certificate
Current drivers’ license
Beneficial tickets, such as Forklift, EWP and Working at Heights
